Use Anatodo alongside Reminders.
Reminders stays as it is. Bring over the work you want to time, and Anatodo keeps how long each task took.
Good to keep in Reminders
- Lists you share with someone
- Alerts for when you arrive somewhere
- Things you only need to remember
Good to bring to Anatodo
- Work you want to know the length of
- Days where you want to see the plan beside what happened
Bringing a list in
- In Anatodo, open Settings → more → export → from Reminders.
- Allow access to Reminders the first time it asks.
- Every list with open reminders starts out included. Press a list to leave it out.
- Choose whether each list's name becomes a category. Your default list goes under no category either way.
- Tick to add them. Undo is on the same page if you change your mind.
What comes across
- Titles and notes
- Due dates and times
- Repeats, including the second Tuesday or the last Friday of a month, and where a repeat ends
- Alerts set before a due time
- High priority, as a highlighted task
What doesn't
- Completed reminders
- Anything already open in Anatodo with the same title and due date
- Alarms set for a moment of their own
- Images, links and tags
- Alerts for arriving somewhere
- Repeats Anatodo can't say, like the 1st and 15th of a month: those come in once, without the repeat, and the sheet tells you how many
It's a one-way copy
Nothing in Reminders is ticked, moved or deleted. After the copy the two don't know about each other, so finishing a task in Anatodo leaves its reminder open. Bring a list in again later and anything still open here with the same title and due date is skipped. What you finished or renamed in Anatodo comes in again.
